is an Edinburgh-based charity providing support and learning opportunities for adults with learning difficulties and autism. The charity’s goal is to challenge students to learn, achieve and grow through an individualised program of challenging, creative and positive workshops and experiences. They run over 80 workshops a week in Creative Arts, Employability and Health and Wellbeing subjects for over 140 students. They are based at Edinburgh Palette
Artists’ Studios, but have satellite locations across Edinburgh and East Lothian,
The Clothworkers’ Foundation awarded a grant of £18,000 which paid for the construction of an expanded workshop kitchen area and a welcoming café se4rving area with a professional grade food prep area.
The café was completed in late 2015 and throughout 2016 there are plans for a catering service, roving lunch service, and pop up café service. The café will also be used to serve the 300 odd resident artists that operate in the wider building.
